The crew found themselves on the Lake Isle of Leopold for Princess Gaia's 18th birthday party in this episode.  When they got to the castle however, Gaia's talisman (which protected her from a curse) was stolen by bandits, and she took a turn for the worst.  Sinbad and crew (minus Firouz, who stayed to look after Gaia) took off to find the talisman and found that there were even more problems in the surrounding villages.  The man who had placed the curse on Gaia, Vatek the Ghoul, had also cut off the water supply to the villages.  A woman named Saraiya helped them find the talisman, and they got it back to Gaia just as the king's royal advisor revealed himself to be Vatek himself.  Sinbad was able to slay him, and the festivities resumed - with Gaia in good health once again.
