In this episode, Firouz accidentally sets a forest ablaze with his latest invention and is promptly made "Minister of Science" of the city.  The rest of the crew knows something is up when invaders come seeking the ruby beamer, but Firouz won't hear them out.  It turns out that the princess and the head of her army have come up with an elaborate plan to take over a neighboring city using Firouz' inventions so that they will be even more powerful, and Sinbad and crew are unable to warn Firouz of what they know.  Only when the princess openly tries to murder him does Firouz realize what is going on, and he helps his crewmates rid the city of their evil leaders.
