Natalie decides to run for president of the school board against Monk's arch enemy Harold Crenshaw to keep her daughter's school open.  When she begins getting death threats, Randy is assigned as her body guard and she admits to Monk that the reason she won't drop out of the election is because her husband was a coward.  She loses to Harold in the end by a landslide.
