When it appears that a serial killer is on the loose, the police are stumped when trying to find a connection between the series of bizarre murders.  Monk realizes that such a diverse group of people can only be found on a jury, leading the police to the case that all the victims were involved in.  Meanwhile, Monk agonizes over the way that his dry cleaner, Mrs. Ling, sewed his button back onto his shirt and Sharona dates a man who was considering running in the next mayoral election.
