In this episode, the Rangers are getting worn out by the constant attacks of King Mondo and the Machine Empire.  They don't have enough time to do everything and sleep, so they aren't running on much fuel.  The Gold Ranger had to bail them out not once, but twice, in this episode, and Billy is acting very suspiciously.  They are finally able to pull it together to defeat the monster, and then they are finally able to get a full nights rest.
