The Rangers are still young children in this episode and are trapped in a photograph courtesy of Lord Zedd.  Bulk and Skull steal the picture and escape from Goldar and the monster to try and get help.  Alpha finds them in the school and restores everyone back to their rightful ages, enabling the Rangers to defeat Lord Zedd once again.
