The second part of the Pilot picked up with Jack, Charlie, and Kate making their way back to camp with the transceiver.  Accusations start to fly on the beach when Walt finds a pair of handcuffs in the jungle, and Sawyer and Sayid begin their feud.  Sayid fixes the transceiver. and takes a group to higher ground to try and get a signal.  On the beach, Jin tries to be helpful, Jack and Hurley take care of the marshal, Claire finally feels her baby kick again, and Michael tries to relate to Walt.  On the trek Sawyer shoots a polar bear and the gun brings up more questions as to who is the prisoner (we learn that it is Kate).  They eventually get the transceiver. working, but there is a distress call from a French woman already broadcasting, and that call has been playing for over sixteen years.
