Edward & Winry

Edward Elric and Winry Rockbell are from the TV show and anime, Fullmetal Alchemist. Edward was a State Alchemist, Winry, an automail mechanic. Although they both fight and disagree quite often, they still care about each other and nothing, not even a gate, will separate them from each other in their hearts.
Why Edward & Winry?

This couple is meant for each other mainly for the fact that Winry and Edward are extremely close despite how far they are apart, which is usually a good part of the series. Both have a sort of connection that ties them together, not spiritually, but in their hearts. Winry is his automail mechanic, which means she has to make his mechanical limbs so he is able to walk, therefore without Winry, Edward would have to go to another mechanic, a stranger, and he most likely doesn't want to go through with that. He and Winry constantly bicker and fight, but they still care deeply about each other.

Edward and Winry grew up together, making them like brothers and sisters, but the relationship builds into something more as Edward is cast into more and more danger. Winry refuses to leave him even though he own life is on the line, but she will still listen to him and his reasoning during these situations.

In the manga, she even states she began to fall for him, and in the anime Edward is seen in one episode writing a letter to Winry. Most people, when writing letters to friends, don't get embarrassed when others taunt him, saying he's writing to his girlfriend, but Edward grows red after his brother starts to talk about him and Winry (sadly, we don't find much out). He also wanted to marry Winry when he was younger, though that might have been just a little kid thing. Winry is always there to help Edward even when she isn't around him.

Edward Elric is a boy who lost his arm and leg from a failed attempt to bring his mother back to life with alchemy. Winry Rockbell is the mechanic who works with his automail (artificial metal limbs) and is a top-notch mechanic. Edward searches for the Philosopher's Stone to get him and his brother's bodies back to normal.

Sadly, Edward and Winry are not able to be together because Edward ends up on one side of the gate, in our world, and cannot go back to Winry.
