Brennan Mulwray and Shalimar Fox are from the TV series Mutant X. Brennan is an electrical elemental mutant while Shalimar is a feral feline mutant. They were brought together to fight for the rights of mutants.

Brennan and Shalimar make a fantastic couple. The chemistry the both create when they are together is electric. Brennan's continuous need to protect Shalimar from danger showed his feelings towards her without actually saying it. I loved their playful flirting when they sparred together.  All their near misses at kissing always made me squirm. I would be on the end of my seat hoping that they would kiss and some interruption stopped them... damn!  While the first two seasons have gone by and they are not at the moment an official couple I know that from watching the show and seeing their feelings for each other blossom and grow, that they will one day (during season 3) be together at last.

Brennan and Shalimar first met in “I Scream the Body Electric” and it was our first taste of the Brennan/Shalimar attraction. The first biggest hint of the attraction for each other wasn't until the end of season 1 in the episode “A Breed Apart”.  This episode showed a mutation in their powers. To help use this to their advantage, Shalimar and Brennan went off together to the train. The split a bottle of water and watched each other with a sexual, yearning look. This was fantastic to watch. The evil Gabriel Ashlocke then kidnaps Shalimar, this angers Brennan and you see the protective fury coming from him. Finally this episode has the whole nearly kissing thing that had me on the edge of my seat. They are so close until a fellow mutant by the name of Emma interrupts them!  Season two also brought more of these flirtatious and sexual moments.  In the episode “Whose Woods are These” a deadly virus has infected Shalimar. Brennan's concern for her welfare is priceless! It also has another interrupted kiss moment!  There are so many moments and scenes like this in all episodes that I loved watching them all.

The quote was said during the episode "Understudy".  Shalimar's feral friend Nikki comes back into her life (she and Shalimar were old friends before their Mentor Adam chose Shalimar over Nikki to be part of the Mutant x team).  Nikki has spent many years hating Shalimar and now tries to take over Shalimar's life by planning to remove her. The quote is said when Brennan is trying convince Shalimar that she is part of the team and not Nikki.

Shalimar: "She's smarter, stronger and sexier than me."

Brennan: "I may not be an expert on smarter and stronger, but she's got a long way to go to be sexier than you."

I think the future looks bright for these two people. Their love for each other will grow as their adventures continue. I hope that we get to see more of this during season 3.
