"Some fool's going to walk this wire... over the audience... wearing a kilt... choose your seats wisely!" - The Squire of the Wire

Although Michael is known at the faire for being the wire walker, he has a lot of other skills and is constantly coming up with new routines to add to his show each year.  He always starts with a wacky warm-up trick (our favorite being the Flaming Flying S'more) so he doesn't burn his good material before the rest of the audience shows up.  During his show he also does a box routine, a balancing trick, and whatever new routine he has come up with for that year, all culminating with the big tight wire finale.  He always draws a big crowd and is one of the favorites at the MD Renaissance Festival every year.

We first met Michael in 2004 when we were walking past the Fortune Stage and he noticed our tripod.  He asked what we were doing later that day and asked if we would film his show for him.  We did film his show that day and many days after to help him get enough footage to put together his DVD, which we helped him make.  Because of all of this, it makes it kind of strange to write this section.  Nevertheless, we really wanted to include him in here because he is one of our favorite acts at the faire and a really nice guy.
