In Josh's second episode of "Ally McBeal", he continued the role of Malcolm Wyatt.  When Ally met Malcolm again, he was grieving the recent loss of his mother.  It turned out that Ally's newest client was Malcolm's father, who lost his job at the church after saying that he no longer believed in God.  Ally helped Malcolm's father begin to move past his grief for his son's sake, and she helped Malcolm find the strength inside of him to sing once again.
