Clay Aiken

There is something incredibly special about Clay Aiken, though it is hard to define what exactly that something is.  We first saw Clay during the auditions on American Idol and became huge fans after seeing his top 32 performance.  Becoming fans of Clay changed our perception of music drastically.  Before Clay, our music collection was quite dismal.  Being fans of his introduced us to the world of pop music, and although he is still (and will forever be) number one on my list of singers, we have a much broader appreciation for music nowadays.  Clay is so talented and any song he sings immediately becomes a Clay Aiken song.  It doesn't matter if he's singing an original pop song, a cover, or Christmas music - he always puts his own spin on it and pours his heart into every note.  He is also a dedicated touring artist and has managed to go on at least one tour every year since he started on this career path.  He is such a funny guy and makes each and every concert a memorable experience with his witty banter and beautiful vocals.

In addition to being one of the most talented vocalists I have ever heard, Clay is also a wonderful person and humanitarian.  He is completely dedicated to helping children, and his Bubel-Aiken foundation helps to integrate kids with special needs into programs with kids without disabilities.  He has said time and time again that he believes that celebrities have a purpose and need to use their notoriety for the betterment of society.  He is also a Unicef Celebrity Ambassador and has traveled to many countries around the globe to bring awareness to the issues children are facing around the world.
